Four Week Series – Every Wednesday from 10th January 2024 to 31st January 2024 – 7:30pm – 9:30pm
This beginner’s conscious somatic breathwork 4 week course offers techniques with tools for resilience to breathe through life and gain an understanding of the latest science on how we can upgrade our body’s systems.
Providing a deep understanding of the impact the way we breathe has on every aspect of our lives – mentally, physically and emotionally. This will be an introductory level to conscious somatic breathwork which helps to clear restricted breathing patterns, let go of emotional baggage, release tension and feel empowered in your body. This is a powerful technique to take away to help improve mental and physical states in a positive way and regain balance and clarity. Conscious somatic breathwork is proven to have lasting effects on both your physical and mental health, providing a method you can use every day to help navigate your way through life. The breath is a barometer to your inner state of being. The power of conscious breathing can help us face, recover and heal from trauma, stress, pain and low self esteem.
In these times we are reminded that the only certainty is that nothing is ever certain. While the world is spinning, and we are all trying to adapt and find some sort of stability, there is one thing that is always constant – and that is our breath.
Breathing is the only autonomic system in the body that you can learn to control to change your sense of wellbeing and anchor your mind. Most of us hold physical, mental and emotional tension in our bodies which can impact our health. Although we cannot change or control everything around us, we can control our response and how it affects our physiology. Breathwork combined with somatic bodywork and mindset techniques help you release tension, break unhealthy patterns and coping mechanisms and quieten the chatter in your mind. Indeed, this profound power we all possess can be used every day to change our breathing patterns, thereby altering our nervous system and state of mind.
Conscious somatic breath keeps us connected with our body and mind so we are more able to listen to the messages and alerts being sent via the brain to the body and the nervous system to brain.
This can help you let go of unhealthy breathing habits, such as shallow breathing and breath-holding, bringing an understanding of your own breath pattern and release both physical and emotional tension from the body. This can dramatically shift the way you feel in your body and bring higher states of awareness.
The course will be covering :
