This conscious somatic breathwork workshop offers a variety of breathing techniques whilst gaining an understanding of the latest science on how we can upgrade our breathing and nervous system for optimum health. Providing a deep understanding of the impact the way we breathe has on every aspect of our lives – mentally, physically and emotionally.
We will be exploring breathing techniques to empower and shift our mental and physical states and regain balance. Most of us have experienced mental, emotional or physical trauma on some level, which can restrict our breath and capacity to fully feel. The resulting body armouring and muscular tension can endure and manifest over the years. Trauma changes our physiology in the brain and nervous system. Life altering events big and small can create a feeling of disconnect.
By consciously recognising trauma and unhelpful patterns through embodied somatic breathwork and supporting techniques participants will gain a greater sense of connection and freedom in their body and everyday lives.
Conscious breathing keeps us connected with our body and mind so we are more able to listen the messages and alerts being sent via the brain to the body and the nervous system.
This can help you let go of unhealthy breathing habits, such as shallow breathing, have a deeper understanding of breath patterns and release both physical and emotional past trauma and tension from the body. This can dramatically shift the way you feel in your body and bring higher states of awareness.
