My breathwork journey
I say that breathwork finds you and not the other way around because this was certainly my experience. Going through life I never felt as though things were amiss or even off-track but something deep inside just didn’t feel right. Even though I thought I had all bases covered and ran the show as if nothing was amiss, with hindsight I can now pinpoint so many times when the opposite was blatantly true.
High functioning anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, little to zero boundaries, codependency, continually searching for ‘happiness’ outside of myself, imposter syndrome, lack of worthiness, to name a few, were all states and behaviours that continually showed up in my life. I, on the other hand, was completely unaware. Add a host of physical aliments such as years of debilitating migraines, irritable bowel, poor sleep and a continual sense of being ‘on edge’ there were times when I was barely running on empty.
LIFE CHANGING
Fast forward through a roller coaster decade or more of stumbling through my own healing journey (not a linear process by any stretch of the imagination) I discovered breathwork at a Rebecca Dennis retreat. I had no idea why I was there but left knowing that this was the key to letting go of so much. That’s not to say that in a couple of breath sessions all was fixed but over time breathing helped to shine a light on parts of me that were crying out for my attention.
Because Breathwork radically changed my life I decided to help share it as best I could with as many people who felt ready to embark on their own healing journey. Currently based in Bristol, United Kingdom I offer one-on-one sessions both in-person and online via Zoom.
