ONLINE Breathwork with Rebecca Dennis

This conscious breathing workshop offers techniques with tools to breathe through life and gain an understanding of the latest science on how we can upgrade our breathing and nervous system. Providing a deep understanding of the impact the way we breathe has on every aspect of our lives – mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Anxiety is now the leading cause of disability worldwide. The WHO reports that anxiety disorders are the most common mental disorders globally, worldwide with specific phobia, major depressive disorder and social phobia being the most common. Almost 75% of people with mental disorders remain untreated in developing countries.

There’s a lot of advice on dealing with anxiety out there but a lot of it can feel inaccessible, impossible, expensive or unlikely (major lifestyle changes, reducing responsibility or taking time out, etc). When those options don’t work out, people are left feeling helpless. We can’t simply eradicate anxiety – we live in turbulent times where rapid change, high expectations and constant alert are the norm. That won’t change any time soon, but we can learn to change how we manage it. We need to wean our nervous system off stress hormones; reset, and replace our flight-or-fight mindset with a sustainable path to feeling calmer.

We will be exploring breathing techniques to take away and use throughout the day to change our mental and physical states in a positive way and regain balance.

Conscious breathing keeps us connected with our body and mind so we are more able to listen the messages and alerts being sent via the brain to the body and the nervous system to brain.

This can help you let go of unhealthy breathing habits, such as shallow breathing, have a deeper understanding of breath patterns and release both physical and emotional tension from the body. This can dramatically shift the way you feel in your body and bring higher states of awareness.
